Where Are They Now: Magic

Magic - Skys the Limit Album Cover

First appearing on Down South Hustlers, Skull would drop 2 albums during his tenure as a Soldier: 1996’s “Hoodlum 4 Life” and 1998’s “These Wicked Streets”. In 1999, Skull decided to leave the label for Indie pastures and released 2 more projects: “3rd Ward Stepper” in 2000 and “Controversy” in ’03 respectively. He disappeared from the scene shortly after.

In 2011, Skull made headlines again, but not for his music. He was sent to prison on child pornography charges and faced a potential 20-year sentence, though he was ultimately sentenced to six years. Skull maintained his innocence, claiming he was framed. Little information emerged about Skull Dugery after this, until June 2022, when his family confirmed his passing at the age of 51.
