Where Are They Now: Magic

Magic - Skys the Limit Album Cover

Magic made his debut on C-Murder’s “Life or Death” album, marking one of the first signings to C’s TRU Records, a sublabel of No Limit. After three albums with No Limit, Magic left in 2003 to release his fourth and final project, “On My Own”. In 2004, he found modest success with the track “I Smoke, I Drank”, collaborating with pro boxer-turnt-rapper Roy Jones Jr.

He bounced around a label or two before forming his own Banx ENT in 2011, but never released anything. Tragically, on March 1st, 2013, Mr. Magic and his wife Chastity were killed in a traffic accident in Hattiesburg, MS. Their 12-year-old daughter, who was also in the vehicle, was the sole survivor. Magic was 37 years old.
