The first of 2 compilations to drop in ‘98, Mean Green’s “Major Players” was much more well-received than the previously mentioned “We Can’t Be Stopped.” Most of the No Limit roster was present with high quality records like “Ashes and Dust” by Gambino Family, “We” featuring Fiend & Mac and “Luv 4 Me” with Mr. Serv-On and Full Blooded. Not to mention the UGK banger “Tossed Up” arguably being the best song on the album. The compilation provided P with yet another gold plaque in just 5 weeks after its September 29th release and marked the debut of the short lived grade school group Lil’ Soldiers.
