Master P, the Colonel of the No Limit Tank, continued to make music well after the shine had worn off his once platinum-plated label.
1999 was a very active year for Kane and Abel. After dropping two solid projects on No Limit, the twins from New York left to start their own label.
Mackinley Phipps, better known as Mac, dropped two classic albums and was one of the few No Limit soldiers to stick around into the 2000s.
Snoop Dogg released three commercially and mostly critically successful albums on No Limit Records before leaving the label after his “Tha Last Meal” LP in 2000.
As an original member of Tru, Ed had been down with the Tank since Day 1. After releasing his one and done sleeper “The Assassin”, the Richmond MC would depart the label in 2000.
First appearing on Down South Hustlers, Skull would drop 2 albums during his tenure as a Soldier: 1996’s “Hoodlum 4 Life” and 1998’s “These Wicked Streets”.
Magic made his debut on C-Murder’s “Life or Death” album, marking one of the first signings to C’s TRU Records, a sublabel of No Limit. After three albums with No Limit, Magic left in 2003 to release his fourth and final project, “On My Own”.
