It took 6 years for Big Ed to drop his one and only solo album on No Limit but when he did it was worth the wait. Not many had big expectations for “The Assassin,” but the No Limit vet didn’t disappoint with heat like “My Entourage” and “We Represent.” Ed even flexed his storytelling muscles on “Life.” By the end of the 18-track effort many declared “The Assassin” as one of the Tank’s most underrated albums. Another commercial success. It’s a shame we didn’t get another No Limit album from Ed, who departed the label in 1999.
